Structural Design Tech​/EIT

Responsibilities

• Review, approve, and seal MPC wood roof and floor truss designs and repairs.
• Oversee Engineering Technicians and ensure timely project completion.
• Design roof and floor trusses for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects.
• Generate detailed layout drawings for truss fabrication using architectural and engineering plans.
• Provide structural design and drawing of truss repairs using Truss design and CAD software.
• Support engineering initiatives and resolve design questions with external sources.
• Assist sales and support teams with technical questions from customers.
• Participate in maintaining and implementing engineering processes and technical data.

• Licensed Professional Engineer:
  Passed EIT exam or ability to pass within 1 year.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering.
• Experience with structural design and building materials (preferred but not required).
• Preferred experience with MPC wood truss design.
• Experience with MiTek truss design software a plus; CAD and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Multitasking ability; manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of construction documents and code requirements.

Starting base pay: $60,000 - $65,000 annually depending on experience.
