Engineer III​/Sr. Civil Engineer

Contract Duration: Contract through 06/04/2027 (High potential for extension)

Location: MI - hybrid (any service center lower MI)

We are looking for a Civil Engineer to support gas capital projects focused on gas metering and regulation facilities, including city gate stations and regulator stations. In this role, you will help plan, review, and manage engineering work from design through construction while working closely with internal teams, engineering consultants, and contractors.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in gas utility or pipeline projects who enjoys coordinating engineering activities and managing multiple projects.

• Support gas metering and regulation capital projects from design through construction.
• Review engineering drawings, technical documents, and project designs.
• Write clear scopes of work for engineering consultants and contractors.
• Manage engineering consultants to ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers, project managers, and construction teams.
• Review and approve construction drawings before work begins.
• Support construction activities by answering technical questions and resolving engineering issues.
• Maintain project documentation and save records in the company's document management system.
• Manage approximately 6–8 projects at different stages throughout the year.
• Perform occasional site visits to review project progress and existing site conditions.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Experience working on natural gas, pipeline, gas transmission, gas distribution, metering, regulation, or utility infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and review engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Experience writing or reviewing scopes of work.
• Experience working with engineering consultants and contractors.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet project schedules.
