Assume responsibility for developing new loan and deposit customers while servicing existing loan customers in assigned portfolio. Must have the ability to establish and promote business development efforts throughout the bank’s market which lead to relationship and lending opportunities. This position requires a high level of organizational skill and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with both customers and bank staff, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to understand, analyze and structure various types of commercial loan requests. Must be able to identify priorities and deadlines and determine work schedule to meet those deadlines. Must demonstrate sales and business development skills. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must possess PC skills at an intermediate level. Ability to learn compliance and legal issues as they apply to business and personal loans.

Ability to make decisions within set parameters

Responsibilities
  • Develops and manages a customer portfolio that includes commercial loans, consumer loans and deposit products.
  • Attends loan committee meetings as required, with the ability to provide structural feedback to the committee.
  • Processes loan maturities and renewals.
  • Collects all necessary documents to submit to the Credit Department for analysis.
  • Assists the Credit Department with loan information for loan committee presentations.
  • Represents the Bank at various networking functions to further the Bank’s reputation and reach in the community.
  • Performs job functions in compliance with all company policies, federal and state rules and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC, and GLBA/privacy rules.
  • Other responsibilities will include assisting in the overall management of the branch as well as supporting other needs that may arise in the course of running a bank.
  • Close loan with borrower(s)
  • Conduct collection activity on delinquent loan accounts – including phone calls, written correspondence, and face-to-face contact with borrower and property inspections.

Education/Certification/Licensing:
Associates degree in finance, business, economics or a related field of study.

Experience:

Minimum requirement of 3 years’ experience in commercial lending or related experience preferred.

Other Requirements: A high level of organizational skills, strong organizational skills, excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image.
