Financial Analyst

Job Summary

Collects and analyzes financial and utilization information to support the department.

• Performs statistical, cost, and financial variance analysis of data to evaluate financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assists on business issues including financial and profitability analysis.
• Develops solutions to problems which require ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
• Participates in annual audit and other state audits when they arise.
• Performs month end close pertaining to grant service lines and grant management.
• Collaborates with assigned areas of the organization and/or senior level analysts or leadership to analyze financial data.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting, finance, business administration, economics, statistics or related field.
• 3 year of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or related work.

• Master's Degree.
• Proven grant accounting experience.
• LIC‑Certified Public Accountant (CPA) -  State of Michigan.
