Position Overview
Due to growth, Dematic Corp is growing its Project Controlling organization and seeking multiple Finance Project Controllers across our U.S. locations (Grand Rapids, MI; Atlanta, GA; Wauwatosa, WI; Dallas, TX). Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role serves as a financial co‑pilot to Project Execution teams, owning the financial performance of a project portfolio. The position is instrumental in driving a strong control environment and a predictable financial culture.
This is a highly collaborative role at the intersection of operations and finance, ideal for individuals who thrive in a matrixed environment and want to directly influence business outcomes. This is a hybrid role (office + remote), with periodic project site visits during key project execution phases.

Responsibilities- Own and manage EACs (Estimate at Completion), ensuring all deviations are clearly quantified with root‑cause support.
- Partner closely with Project Management and cross‑functional teams to drive project performance and financial outcomes.
- Proactively identify, quantify, and mitigate risks impacting project financials.
- Lead change order management to protect and enhance project profitability.
- Manage cash flow and working capital across project portfolio.
- Deliver monthly financial performance reviews to senior leadership (VP/Director level).
- Lead weekly pacing discussions to ensure forecast commitments are achieved.
- Develop and improve management reporting and dashboards.
- Perform ad hoc analysis to continuously improve project controlling efficiency.
- 8+ years proven experience in project‑based business or manufacturing finance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred).
- Proven track record to own results and influence outcomes in a cross‑functional environment.
- Strong business partnering approach with the confidence to challenge and inspire change.
- Highly analytical with strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine curiosity about understanding the business, not just the numbers.
- Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP), Excel, and PowerPoint.
