The Controller plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, driving operational efficiency, and supporting cost control initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This position partners closely with cross‑functional teams, including procurement and operations, to oversee material purchasing activities, maintain accurate fixed asset and capital project records, and manage month‑end close responsibilities. The role also contributes to the preparation of internal and external financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail‑oriented, collaborative, and operates with a high level of confidentiality.

• Evaluate raw material consumption, identify variances, and assess cost trends.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of purchase orders, pricing updates, and cost changes within the ERP system.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, inventory adjustments, and cost allocations.
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain and document close processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness.
• Analyze monthly financial results and support variance explanations for management.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain supporting schedules for income statement and balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support external audits, internal reviews, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Lead the development of the ERP fixed asset module and maintain the fixed asset ledger, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
• Review and monitor capital expenditure requests to ensure proper approval and accurate coding.
• Reconcile Construction in Progress (CIP) accounts and close completed projects promptly.
• Support physical asset counts and asset tagging initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and fixed asset accounting.
• Experience partnering with Procurement or Operations teams (manufacturing environment preferred.
• ERP system experience required (Sage 100 a plus)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
