Credit Underwriter -II or Senior

Position Overview

Bank of America seeks a credit underwriting and monitoring professional to support new and existing clients in partnership with the credit team.

• Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring requirements with limited to moderate complexity.
• Independently works with Relationship Management and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements.
• Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to support loan decision‑making process.
• Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policy procedure.
• Has credit approval authority for certain credit actions and leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners.

• 3+ years of experience in Commercial Banking (Middle Market, Large Corporate, or Leveraged Finance) underwriting, financial analysis, structuring, and portfolio management.
• Strong communication and analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling, and loan structuring.

• Experience negotiating Credit Agreements and loan documents with Relationship Management or Credit Officers.
• Knowledge of closing process and timeline for all types of loans (e.g., real estate, revolvers).
• BA/BS degree.
