The Senior Vice President Commercial Lending Manager is responsible for loan portfolio management, growth, and maintenance as well as the review of individual performance, training and guidance for a group of Commercial Lenders. This role requires thorough knowledge of commercial lending policy and depository services, understanding of the LMCU mission, vision, values, business model philosophy, risk tolerance and culture. The incumbent will ensure high standards for client service, work quality, presentations, and compliance with policies.
Whatyou’ll do Leadership
- Develop and manage a team of Commercial Lenders.
- Manage team pipeline reporting to provide accurate forecasting on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Review new loan requests from lenders to assist with structuring, pricing and completeness of request.
- Monitor and review the production and performance of assigned commercial lenders.
- Develop, manage and expand commercial loan portfolio.
- Maintain an active pipeline of new business.
- Cross-sell credit and non-credit products as appropriate.
- Partner with credit to ensure annual reviews and line of credit renewals are completed on a timely basis for individual and team member portfolios.
- Ensure risk ratings are appropriate based on knowledge of the client.
- Analyze financial statements and related credit material to assess risk.
- Ensure all credit files include current financial statements and complete loan closings as required.
- Monitor portfolio for credit quality, past‑due credits and non‑performing loans.
- Ensure current commercial loans are in complete compliance with loan approval terms.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the credit union’s operating policies and procedures that impact commercial banking.
- Proactively keep abreast of industry trends.
- Five to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field of study.
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
