Position: Analyst / Portfolio Manager

Overview

We are a fast-growing boutique wealth management firm seeking an experienced, investment-focused portfolio manager to join our team. We manage custom investment portfolios in-house and you will be part of that process. You will be responsible for managing and analyzing existing portfolios along with our 401(k) s, with a focus on delivering thoughtful, research-driven portfolio management. You will not have a sales goal, but you will be assisting our business development efforts by articulating the benefit of our investment philosophy to prospective clients.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor client investment portfolios across a range of risk profiles and financial goals.
  • Develop and maintain risk analysis frameworks and conduct ongoing portfolio risk assessments.
  • Generate investment performance reports and client-facing portfolio summaries.
  • Conduct securities research and make asset allocation recommendations.
  • Stay current on market conditions, economic trends, and investment opportunities.
  • Meet with existing clients as needed to review portfolios and answer investment-related questions.
  • Collaborate with the advisory team on investment strategy and planning.
Qualifications
  • Progress toward the CFA designation is required.
  • Five or more years of investment experience, ideally in client facing portfolio management.
  • Deep expertise in portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk management.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and AI tools.
  • Comfortable presenting to and communicating with clients in a professional setting.
  • Must be local to West Michigan or willing to relocate, as this is an in-person role.
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented with a preference for doing the investment work rather than chasing leads.
