Senior Project Controller

Due to growth, Dematic Corp is growing its Project Controlling organization and seeking multiple Finance Project Controllers across our U.S. locations (Grand Rapids, MI; Atlanta, GA; Wauwatosa, WI; Dallas, TX).Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role serves as a financial co-pilot to Project Execution teams, owning the financial performance of a project portfolio. The position is instrumental in driving a strong control environment and a predictable financial culture.

This is a highly collaborative role at the intersection of operations and finance, ideal for individuals who thrive in a matrixed environment and want to directly influence business outcomes.

This is a hybrid role (office + remote), with periodic project site visits during key project execution phases.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $X-Y at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Qualifications:

What You Will do in This Role:

Own and manage EACs (Estimate at Completion), ensuring all deviations are clearly quantified with root-cause support

Partner closely with Project Management and cross-functional teams to drive project performance and financial outcomes

Proactively identify, quantify, and mitigate risks impacting project financials

Lead change order management to protect and enhance project profitability

Manage cash flow and working capital across project portfolio

Deliver monthly financial performance reviews to senior leadership (VP/Director level)
Lead weekly pacing discussions to ensure forecast commitments are achieved

Develop and improve management reporting and dashboards

Perform ad hoc analysis to continuously improve project controlling efficiency

What We Are Looking For :8+ years proven experience in project-based business or manufacturing finance

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting prefered

Proven track record to own results and influence outcomes in a cross-functional environment

Strong business partnering approach with the confidence to challenge and inspire change

Highly analytical with strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills

Genuine curiosity about understanding the business, not just the numbers

Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP), Excel, and PowerPoint#LI-RT1
