Responsibilities
- Prepare client presentations and ensure all portfolio materials are ready for client meetings.
- Create custom asset allocations and review performance for accuracy.
- Identify possible issues and amend prior to client meetings.
- Communicate actively with clients and Portfolio Advisors on client requests.
- Develop a clear understanding of clients' needs behind service requests and communicate to service partners.
- Obtain appropriate information from partners and clients to facilitate service changes or process transactions.
- Handle routine issues independently while engaging the appropriate PA as needed.
- Collaborate with the Client Service team on a regular basis to receive and communicate information on all aspects of a client relationship or portfolio.
- Process client cash requests.
- Determine the account in which to raise funds and submit trades for approval by the Portfolio Advisor.
- Analyze client accounts based on client investment guidelines to identify issues.
- Rebalance portfolios with Portfolio Advisor guidance.
- Manage client investment objective letters proactively for Portfolio Advisors so they are updated before expiring.
- Complete the GDWM training and demonstrate a proficient level of use.
- Manage the entire process for the Client Service team’s monthly compliance (REV) meeting.
- Ensure that accounts have proper documentation and/or coding for existing or new clients (e.g., non-guidance holdings, concentration holdings, IPS forms, address changes, statement addresses, investment guidelines, fees, etc.) and ensure files are properly organized and maintained.
- Run various reports for Portfolio Advisors or clients as requested.
- Research tax cost issues and work with the tax department to correct discrepancies and verify adjustments on client accounts.
- Initiate transactions requested by the client (e.g., remit proceeds, stock gifting requests, etc.).
- Process physical stock/bond certificates and complete DTC transfers.
- Follow up with clients on inquiries via telephone or written correspondence.
- Process trades by established deadlines with direction from Portfolio Advisor.
- Adhere to National Investment Guidelines.
- Provide solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on practice and existing precedents or procedures.
- Impact the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of the team; use discretion to modify work practices and processes to achieve results or improve efficiency.
- 1+ year relevant work experience
- Demonstrated interest in investments
- Initiative, diligence, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage priorities well
