Clark Retirement is hiring a part-time Life Enrichment Assistant for our activities team. We are looking for someone who is outgoing, cheerful, creative, and ready to create an exceptional experience for our residents – and have fun while doing it. The Life Enrichment Associate coordinates and facilitates daily group activities, special events, and individual one-on-one activities that make the residents' lives more meaningful, stimulate their physical and mental capabilities, and attain optimal social, physical, and emotional stimulation.

8:45am – 4:15pm

Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) and alternating Mondays and Fridays (Four days per two‑week pay period)

Applicants with caregiving experience may be able to pick up additional shifts as a resident aide, if desired.

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer‑related skills
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
• Preferred: caregiving experience in an assisted living environment
• Physical job requirements may include loading and unloading supplies; variations of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers; physical activity that requires bending, twisting, stretching, pulling, lifting and carrying objects (light to heavy)

• Contributes to the development of written assessments, care plans, and documents progress with each resident.
• Assists with the development of the monthly calendar, ensuring it includes daily evening, holiday, and weekend events and activities.
• Assists with planning the programs including educational, entertainment, spiritual, and physical activities, and programs.
• Posts activity reminders to encourage participation.
• Decorates designated areas for special events and parties and provides necessary assistance to residents, helps with preparation and clean‑up for such events.
• Assists in coordinating transportation of residents to outside programs, events, or medical appointments.
• Maintains a variety of stimulating activities and supplies for residents who choose and/or can perform activities independently.
• Effectively manages problems with difficult or disturbed residents, family, or sponsor/surrogate.
