This is a part-time, 3rd Shift position requiring weekend availability.

This position is eligible for discounted downtown parking, free employee meals, hotel and restaurant discounts and more.

SUMMARY:

The Third Shift Housekeeping Runner and Public Area Cleaner is an integral part of the Housekeeping team who collectively is responsible for delivering various requested guest room items to guests and associates throughout their shift as well as keeping assigned Public Areas of the hotel clean during Third Shift hours.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Greet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement
  • Provide customer service to guests, including information about hotel services, activities and local attractions
  • Make sure that all requests are delivered in timely manner
  • Make sure that all items delivered to the guest rooms are clean and in working order
  • Check storerooms for availability of pack & plays, microwaves, fridges, fans, ozone machines, etc. and ensure they are in safe working condition
  • Reports maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain room in compliance with hotel standards
  • Replenishes linen and guest amenities
  • Assists co-workers as requested
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, flexible with spontaneous demands from guests and for business needs.
  • Display professional image at all times through appearance and conduct
  • Within position scope, ensure resort is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA
  • Uses the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): gloves and safety glasses, as needed -
  • Report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly to management
  • Carries out reasonable requests of supervisor or management.
  • Always be careful not to make excessive noise in the guest room areas. You never know when you may disturb a guest, and this applies at any time during the day or night while you are on the floor.
  • All assigned public areas of the hotel are to be cleaned.
  • All tile floors are to be mopped, using wet floor signs for guest safety.
  • Public restrooms are to be cleaned and mopped.
  • Handle all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules and standards
  • Have knowledge about all emergency procedures and know how to act on them.
  • Report any unusual occurrences or requests to Housekeeping Leadership

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Physically able to move large and heavy objects such as: carts, large bags of linen, ironing board, furniture, mattresses

Ability to read and recognize room numbers

Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form

Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to all aspects of room

Ability to follow all safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situations

Able to lift 75lbs; push/pull carts of 150lbs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in hospitality is preferred, but not needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMNETS:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate:
Ability to be on feet 8 hours per day
Able to bend, twist, kneel, push and lift up to 50 pounds
Is required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects
Is required to frequently reach with hands and arms
Is occasionally required to sit and stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl
