Scrum Master

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support cross-functional technology teams, including Data Engineering and Analytics, in delivering high-quality, scalable solutions. The Scrum Master will act as a servant leader, enabling teams to self-organize, remove impediments, and consistently meet delivery goals through effective Agile practices.

This role requires strong facilitation skills, technical awareness, and the ability to coordinate dependencies across multiple teams while providing clear communication and status updates to stakeholders.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews/demos, and retrospectives.
• Act as the primary liaison between delivery teams, Product Owners, technical leads, and business stakeholders.
• Partner with Product Owners to groom, refine, and prioritize backlogs aligned with business objectives.
• Track sprint progress, velocity, burndown metrics, and milestone delivery; provide regular status reporting to leadership.
• Identify, manage, and remove impediments that block team progress.
• Coordinate dependencies across multiple teams and support release planning activities.
• Manage Jira workflows including creation and tracking of stories, tasks, and defects.
• Promote Agile best practices (Scrum / Kanban) and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Monitor team performance and initiate process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Support data-centric and technology-driven teams by understanding technical discussions at a high level and anticipating risks.
• Mentor team members and help cultivate a learning-oriented environment.
• Assist in evaluating team performance and provide input into hiring and performance reviews as needed.
• Ensure compliance with agreed quality control processes.
• Maintain clear documentation using Confluence and Google productivity tools.

• 4–7+ years of experience in Agile software development environments, with at least 3+ years in a Scrum Master role.
• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach teams in Scrum and/or Kanban.
• Strong communication skills with English as the primary language.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for Agile delivery and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to create project plans with milestones and reliably communicate delivery status.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to coordinate work across distributed or multi-team environments.
• Technical background supporting IT, data engineering, analytics, or software development projects preferred.
• Comfortable understanding technical conversations and identifying risks or dependencies.
• Onsite availability and EST time zone alignment preferred.

• Background in software development, data engineering, or analytics prior to transitioning into Scrum Master.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to write or understand basic SQL for troubleshooting discussions.
• Experience supporting global or distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
