Installation Technician Grand Rapid Airport

About the Job

As the On-site Installation Technician (Contractor), you will report to the regional operations manager and work as part of the client’s team to provide and maintain continuity of service for all desktop devices (hardware, software, and connectivity) for the customer and resolve any onsite technical issues within agreed contractual service levels.

• Work closely with customer system administrators and project managers to deliver and complete all project tasks.
• Inventory new IT devices and equipment.
• Install various IT workstations and peripheral devices in an airport environment.
• Image, configure and test new workstations and peripheral devices.
• Identify issues and perform quality control.
• Troubleshoot and resolve device or network connectivity issues.
• Escalate issues to customer engineers as necessary.
• Track and manage detailed asset records.

• 1–2 years of IT maintenance and support experience.
• A+ or equivalent certification a plus.
• On‑site training will be provided.
• IT support and troubleshooting experience, including knowledge of Microsoft Desktop software (Windows 7/10, Office Suite) and operating systems, and a working knowledge of IT hardware.
• Self‑motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to any new change or situation in a dynamic project environment.
• Ability to communicate across functions.

• Ability to lift or push 20–60 pounds of equipment.
• Ability to stand or kneel for extended periods of time.
• Ability to use mechanical tools.
