Position SummaryThe primary function of this position is to support the student learning environment in Business & Technology instructional laboratories by assisting with equipment readiness, routine and preventative maintenance, inventory tracking, and adherence to safety procedures. The position works independently on assigned tasks and supports lab operations in coordination with established procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on instructional lab equipment and tools.
- Assist with troubleshooting, minor repairs, and equipment setup to support lab readiness.
- Support adherence to health and safety policies and procedures within lab environments.
- Maintain inventory records for lab supplies and specialized equipment using established systems.
- Provide task‑level guidance to student workers related to assigned maintenance or lab
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent knowledge and skills) in a related technical field (Manufacturing and Skilled Trades)
- Working knowledge of tools, equipment, and lab environments is required
- The position requires the ability to follow established procedures, communicate effectively, work independently, and manage frequent interruptions while supporting safe and consistent lab operations.
- OSHA safety training, electrical safety training, forklift operator certification, training related to lockout/tagout or machine safety
