Electronic Technician

Overview

Akkodis is seeking an Electronic Technician Contract with a direct client in Grand Rapids, MI 49512. This is a 12+ month contract with potential for conversion.

Location:

Grand Rapids, MI 49512.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, first shift with some overtime.

• Product (box and circuit card level) test and debug in analog, digital, and microprocessor type circuits.
• Custom test equipment build and checkout, using oscilloscopes, DMMs, and function generators.
• Soldering small pitch SMT (0402, QFN, LCP, etc.) and assembly/disassembly of test equipment and products; maintain solder certification.
• Develop thorough reports on data gathered for engineers, including offering preliminary conclusions.
• At least one of the following technical skills or knowledge areas: (a) working knowledge of Windows software and lower level programming (JTAG programming a plus); (b) working knowledge of computers, networks setup, and IT security; (c) knowledge of active and passive electronic devices to determine required tests and analyze performance characteristics.

• 3 to 5 years of work experience as a technician.
• Minimum two-year Electronic Technician degree, or equivalent work experience, or a 4-year Electrical Engineering degree.

• Work closely with a cross-functional team to ensure quality products and processes are developed and deployed.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows software and lower level programming (JTAG programming a plus).
• Knowledge of computers, networks setup, and IT security.
• Knowledge of active and passive electronic devices to determine the required tests and analyze performance characteristics.
