Business Systems Analyst – Grand Rapids, MI (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support our client’s Optum Claims Editing System (CES) and its integration with Facets and Epic Tapestry. The role focuses on CES configuration, edit implementation, and system alignment to enhance claims adjudication workflows.

• Under minimal supervision, formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact‑finding.
• Develop or modify moderately sized information systems, documenting requirements and revising system logic as needed.
• Assist and advise less‑experienced Business Systems Analysts.
• Utilize research and analysis to define system scopes and objectives for developing new or improving existing information systems.
• Perform business analysis, workflow analysis and optimization, working with users to define needs and document requirements.
• Collaborate with others to troubleshoot issues with existing systems.
• Stay current with future industry trends and understand implications for existing technology.

• Nice To Have: Epic Tapestry

• Associate’s Degree from technical school or equivalent (Required);
  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (Preferred).
• 2 years of relevant experience (Required); 3 years of relevant experience (Preferred).
• Experience formulating and defining system scopes and objectives (Preferred).
• Experience in systems development lifecycle, including requirements gathering and design (Preferred).
• Participant in multiple phases of an integrated system implementation (Preferred).
• Background in healthcare, science, or information systems (Preferred).
