Systems Engineer

As a Regional Infrastructure & Wireless Lead, you will play a pivotal role in guiding WLAN/LAN network upgrades, providing local IT support, and ensuring asset data integrity across our regional plant operations. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to lead technical surveys, develop comprehensive engineering packages, and support plant IT initiatives—all while working in a dynamic, technology-driven environment that values your expertise and initiative.
RequiredSkills
- 7+ years enterprise WLAN/LAN engineering experience
- Proficiency with WLAN survey tools such as Ekahau or Air Magnet
- Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, interference mitigation, and channel planning
- Knowledge of structured cabling, fiber/copper testing, and MDF/IDF standards
- Experience with plant IT support, troubleshooting endpoints, and ticketing systems
- Experience with high-bay/dock door wireless challenges
- Familiarity with ITAM/CMDB concepts and data quality practices
- Project management experience in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in industrial environments
- Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; 7+ years of relevant enterprise WLAN/LAN project experience, preferably within manufacturing or warehouse environments.
Other RequirementsTravel to regional facilities is required, with expenses reimbursed per company policy. Ability to work in a hybrid environment, combining on-site support with remote coordination, is essential. Candidates should possess strong documentation skills, experience with cybersecurity practices, and familiarity with asset management systems such as Service Now.
