- Provide strategic advice on business formations, transactions, succession planning, and real estate matters
- Handle probate and trust administration matters, including preparing court filings and accountings

- Maintain attorney-client privilege and exercise sound judgment with confidential and sensitive information
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan
- 1-6 years of legal experience, preferably in business law, M&A, estate planning/administration, and/or real estate
- Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and analyzing complex legal documents
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- A methodical, organized, and efficient work style
- Sound legal judgment and ability to identify issues and propose creative solutions
- Ability to leverage technology and practice management tools to work efficiently
- Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills who can independently manage a diverse caseload, juggle multiple client matters and competing deadlines, meet deadlines without last-minute rushing, and shift between practice areas without losing focus or accuracy
- Excellent client communication and counseling skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other attorneys and staff
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience with business entity formations, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial transactions
- Experience in estate planning, probate administration, trust administration, and/or real estate transactions
- Experience negotiating and closing business or real estate transactions
- Proficient in using practice management systems such as Clio and Microsoft Office
