Shipping Supervisor

• Work with the Logistics Manager to identify priorities for the Logistics team
• Manage a team of forklift operators to perform the duties assigned to meet the set priorities
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of trailers
• Ensure that production lines are kept stocked and prepped to run
• Conduct cycle counts on a weekly basis
• Electronically verify hours worked by the Logistics team on a daily and weekly basis
• Approve vacation requests as workload dictates
• Ensure the warehouse area is kept clean and orderly
• Serve as a backup to the Logistics Manager

• Five‑years’ experience in a manufacturing and shipping environment required
• Ability to multi‑task and produce accurate work in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to supervise through coaching, inspiring employees to perform at their best
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with a highly diverse environment
• Ability to retain technical information
• Computer literate in Microsoft Products and experience with diverse shipping platforms; experience with Amtech would be an advantage
• Self‑starter and team player
• General high level of enthusiasm and creative ability

• Understand and adapt to a Coaching style of supervision, guiding the team and helping them understand the purpose and impact of their work
• Hold the team accountable for the tasks they are assigned, focusing on performance rather than personality
• Support company and departmental policies and procedures by example, holding yourself and the team accountable
• Maintain the highest levels of safety, quality and housekeeping standards
• Interact with customer service and production for smooth, total quality order shipments
• Process paperwork accurately for outgoing shipments in a fast‑paced environment
• Oversee loading and unloading of trailers
• Protect and keep product free from damage
• Participate in monthly physical inventory procedures, including Saturdays when required
• Receive product with accuracy and on a timely basis in the Manufacturing & Shipping database – Amtech
• Perform all tasks assigned by the Shipping Manager
