Buyer​/Planner

Location

Belmont, Michigan, USA.

As a Buyer/Planner at MAHLE, you will oversee supplier/subcontractor contract negotiations, issue purchase orders and/or EDI releases, manage supplier relationships, conduct analysis to influence action, negotiate contracts, manage inventory, interface with quality, and work within a budget while meeting tight deadlines. You will support a lean culture by ensuring transparent supplier orders, efficient inventory turns, and responsive service. The role is highly visible and requires strong analytical skills, problem solving, and effective communication.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field OR 8 years of direct experience in a similar role and industry.
• At least 2 years of direct related experience preferred.
• Problem solver: identifies and resolves problems promptly, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops alternative solutions, works well in teams, uses reason even with emotional topics.
• Experience with statistical analysis and ability to anticipate stock issues.
• Ability to write and present detailed reports.
• Self‑motivated, self‑starter, enjoys challenges, and seeks continuous improvement.
• Excellent attention to detail, conscientious and diligent.
• Promotes and follows the business unit’s Core Efforts and Values.
