Job Description & How to Apply Below

Grip is redefining cold‑chain logistics for direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) eCommerce brands. Founded in 2022 by former Butcher Box executives, Grip combines advanced technology with a nationwide fulfillment network to optimize the shipping of perishable goods. Our proprietary Smart Logistics Engine analyzes over 25 million data points daily—including weather patterns, carrier performance, and real‑time temperatures to make intelligent, package‑level shipping decisions. Grip's Pulse Order Management System (OMS) offers real‑time inventory tracking, batch traceability, and seamless integration with platforms like Shopify.

This end‑to‑end solution provides brands with complete visibility and control over their supply chain, eliminating the need for multiple third‑party tools. With strategically located temperature‑controlled fulfillment centers, Grip can reach over 80% of the U.S. population within 24 hours. Our mission is to empower DTC brands to scale efficiently by providing innovative logistics solutions tailored to the unique challenges of shipping.

Job Description

Grip is looking for an Inventory Analyst to serve as the data backbone of one of our fulfillment facilities. This is a hands‑on, floor‑present role — you will spend time physically in the facility verifying receiving processes, confirming shipment accuracy, and ensuring that what moves through the building is accurately reflected in our systems in real time. Beyond the floor, this role owns the full data layer of inventory operations: maintaining databases, managing records in our OMS (Pulse), producing recurring Excel‑based reports, and keeping every system in sync.

We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation — comfortable in Excel at an advanced level, familiar with database management principles, and able to navigate and manage records within an order management system.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Receiving verification: Be physically present on the floor to verify inbound shipments, confirming quantities, lot numbers, and condition against ASNs and purchase orders before product is put away.
  • OMS management: Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records in Grip's Pulse OMS: receiving logs, inventory adjustments, status updates, and batch traceability data. Own the system of record for the facility.
  • Database management: Build and maintain structured databases and tracking files that capture inventory movement, discrepancies, and status changes across the facility. Keep data clean, organized, and audit‑ready.
  • Advanced Excel reporting: Own the facility's inventory reporting suite: weeks‑of‑stock (WoS), depletion rates, no‑velocity inventory, inbound PO tracking, and expected‑vs‑actual reconciliation. Reports must be accurate, timely, and decision‑ready.
  • Variance investigation: Identify and investigate discrepancies between system records and physical counts. Trace root causes, document findings, and drive resolution with warehouse staff.
  • Inventory status tracking: Monitor the status of all pallets in the facility — including damaged, on‑hold, and expiring stock — and ensure every status is reflected accurately and in real time in our systems.
  • Cycle counts: Execute and coordinate regular cycle counts within the facility. Reconcile results against system data and elevate unresolved variances.
  • Cross‑functional coordination: Partner with facility managers, warehouse staff, and operations leads to resolve inventory exceptions, communicate discrepancies, and close out open items.
  • Process improvement: Identify gaps in receiving workflows, data entry practices, or reporting processes and propose improvements backed by data.
What You Bring
  • Advanced Excel: Pivot tables, complex formulas (INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, array formulas), data validation, and structured reporting. You build tools, not just spreadsheets.
  • OMS proficiency: Hands‑on experience navigating and managing records within an order management system. Familiarity with Pulse or similar WMS/OMS platforms is a strong plus.
  • Database management: Ability to build, maintain, and query structured data files or databases. Comfort working with large datasets without losing accuracy.
  • Floor presence: Comf…
