Overview
The Demand Analyst is responsible for all forecasting activities for assigned customers and customer channels. This role serves as the primary demand planning contact for the development of accurate demand plans that align customer demand with BISSELL's operational planning processes. This position collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to identify risks and opportunities and improve forecast performance through data‑driven analysis and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain consensus demand forecasts for assigned customers.
- Analyze historical shipments, POS trends, promotional plans, pricing changes, and customer inventory levels to develop demand forecasts.
- Monitor statistical forecast outputs and make adjustments based on business insights and market trends.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply teams to gather information and improve forecast accuracy.
- Support new product forecast development through analysis of launch plans and comparable product performance.
- Participate in monthly S&OP activities and provide input on forecast changes, risks, and opportunities.
- Monitor forecast performance metrics, including Forecast Accuracy and Forecast Bias.
- Assist with annual planning activities and financial forecast updates.
- Maintain forecasting data, reporting, and planning tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Forecasting, Sales Operations, Inventory Planning, or related analytical roles.
Education and Experience
- Experience with retail forecasting and POS analysis.
- Exposure to forecasting systems and statistical planning tools.
- Experience using supply chain planning system.
- Strong data management and reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Cross functional collaboration
- Ability to analyze data
