The Global Procurement team provides interns with meaningful, hands‑on work that directly impacts the business. Interns are trusted with real projects and partner with stakeholders across multiple functions, divisions, and regions, allowing them to gain broad exposure to Amway's Supply Chain organization beyond procurement alone.

This team values collaboration, learning, and professional development. Interns have opportunities to build strong cross‑functional relationships, contribute to strategic initiatives, and develop a deeper understanding of how procurement supports the enterprise. The team also works intentionally to create an inclusive environment where interns are engaged, supported, and celebrated throughout the summer.

How would an intern contribute to the team's success:
  • As a Global Procurement Intern, you will support sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, and process improvement initiatives that help drive value across the organization. You will partner with procurement professionals and business stakeholders to analyze data, evaluate opportunities, develop recommendations, and contribute to projects that support operational and strategic business goals.
An example of a typical project would be:

An example of our typical project includes optimizing spend and providing cost reductions via conducting a strategic bid, development a Supplier Segmentation process and rolling out globally, conducting a cost analysis/breakdown for a category of spend and providing cost improvement recommendations, negotiating spend with one or more suppliers, implementing or expanding a stocking program with current key suppliers, leveraging analytics to provide business insights and recommendations.

Academic Eligibility: Students who will have completed their junior year by the start of the internship and have an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and April 2028.

Technical

Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data to support business recommendations.
  • Experience with SharePoint, ERP systems (such as JDE), or procurement-related tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and an interest in leveraging technology to improve efficiency, analysis, and decision-making is preferred.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Natural curiosity and desire to understand root causes and business drivers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high‑quality work.
