POSITION TITLE:
Facility Maintenance Full-time
BUILDING: Grand Rapids Christian High School
CONTRACT: Full-time, full-year, hourly position per GRCS position classification scale
- Hours:
9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
REPORTS TO: Facility Maintenance Supervisor
COORDINATES WITH: Facility Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Cleaning Supervisor, Facilities Administrative Assistant, Administrative Team, Facilities Team
POSITION SUMMARYThe Facility Maintenance Custodian coordinates with the Facility Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that all parts of the facility are in good working order. This includes maintenance and repair of the academic area in the school, both gymnasiums, the DeVos Center of Arts and Worship, GRCS Central Office, Eagle Stadium, Eagle Ice Center, Gainey Athletic Fields, and all grounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES- General maintenance and repair including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, furniture, equipment, flooring, and grounds (does not include mowing, etc.)
- Inspects all systems regularly
- Partners with Facility Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate with service providers
- Removes snow and ice from parking lot and sidewalks
- Coordinates with Facilities team to maintain grounds
- Collaborates to ensure that building is secured at all times
- Assists in cleaning buildings if needed
- Ability to use ladders, aerial lifts, and work on higher areas including the roof
- Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
