Job SummaryKelly, in partnership with a growing automotive company, is looking for an Operations Manager in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a direct hire position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit, vacation and compensation package upon hire.

- Pay: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
The Operations Manager oversees daily operations of automotive manufacturing, service, or sales facilities, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and compliance with industry standards. This role focuses on optimizing processes, managing teams, coordinating with suppliers, implementing quality control, and driving continuous improvement across all operational activities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage facility operations including production, service, inventory, and logistics.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures for efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, supply chain, engineering, HR) to achieve company objectives.
- Supervise and train staff, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Oversee inventory management: procurement, storage, and distribution.
- Monitor KPIs, analyze data, and report on performance to senior leadership.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and increase quality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (health & safety, environmental, automotive standards).
- Address and resolve operational issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and external partners.
- Lead lean manufacturing initiatives.
- 5+ years’ experience in automotive operations management or similar environment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of automotive processes, supply chain, and logistics.
- Working knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills; proficiency in reporting and presentations.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus.
