Operations Manager, Administrative Management
Kraayeveld Family Law is a respected, litigation-focused family law firm in Grand Rapids. We are growing, and we are intentionally adding an Office Manager who will be instrumental in shaping that growth. This is a new leadership position within our firm. As we expand, a strong operational structure and intentional culture matter more than ever. The Office Manager will play a central role in helping us scale responsibly, strengthen our HR systems, and ensure our standards grow alongside our team.
This is not an administrative support position. This is a leadership role focused on accountability, culture development, and operational consistency. The right candidate will see growth as an opportunity — not a disruption — and will be energized by helping a high-performing team mature and improve. This is a full-time, in-office position. Presence and leadership visibility matter in this role.
- Provide firm-wide operational leadership and partner with ownership to support the continued growth of the practice.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure the firm runs smoothly, professionally, and consistently across all departments.

- Supporting team members in meeting expectations
- Ensuring clarity around standards as the firm grows
- Provide operational oversight across the firm, including:
- Monitoring workflow, workload distribution, and overall team effectiveness
- Ensuring the entire team delivers A+ client service
- Serving as a professional liaison when needed to help resolve client concerns
- Providing oversight and guidance to the billing department to help maintain strong collection rates
- Ensuring systems, processes, and procedures evolve appropriately as the firm expands
- Observing trends, identifying opportunities for improvement, recognizing excellence, and providing thoughtful recommendations to ownership
- As the firm grows, this role will grow in leadership scope and strategic influence.
- Educational background in Human Resources, OR
- Prior HR experience in a professional office setting (law firm or similar professional services environment strongly preferred)
- Ability to work with highly educated, strong-willed professionals is important. This role requires steady leadership, emotional intelligence, and confidence.
- Additional qualifications:
- Prior leadership or management experience in a professional environment
- Experience handling documentation and policy enforcement
- Comfort conducting direct, respectful accountability conversations
- Strong written communication skills
- High organizational capacity and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across daily, weekly, and monthly time frames
Compensation: $25 - $35 hourly
