1st Shift General Labor

Staffing Inc. is partnered with a client in Grand Rapids who is actively looking to hire a qualified General Labor candidate for a metal facility! The ideal candidate will have experience in a production or packaging environment and will be responsible for packaging, inspecting, and preparing parts for shipment. This role requires the ability to lift to 50 lbs, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality control in a fast-paced environment.

General Labor Responsibilities:

• Box and Packaging Preparation:
  Construct and assemble cardboard boxes and other containers.
• Inspecting and Packaging:
  Perform quality checks on parts to ensure they meet standards and then accurately place them into boxes or totes.
• Label Creation:
  Generate and affix labels to packages for proper identification and tracking.
• Material Handling:
  Move and stack finished products as needed, demonstrating the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Safety and Compliance:
  Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.

General Labor Qualifications:

• A minimum of one year of experience in a packaging or similar production environment is required.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. The role may involve repetitive motions, standing for long periods, and lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Must possess the ability to read and write in English.
• Must be able to pass a hi-lo (forklift) test.
• Some basic computer experience is helpful for tasks like creating labels.
• Must have perfect attendance and good attitude.
