Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Die Repair Technician Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role, you will oversee the die repair process, ensuring that our production standards are met while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor a team of die repair technicians, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Oversee the die repair process from start to finish, ensuring quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Conduct regular inspections of dies and repair work to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve die-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory of tools and materials.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist in training new technicians and promote a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in die repair or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
  • Experience in high pressure die casting and high production machining is beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of die repair techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards in the workplace.
You Should Be Proficient In
  • Tool/Die/Mold Setup Experience
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Microsoft Excel
Machines & Technologies You'll Use
  • Die Cast Machine (Cold Chamber)
