- As a Robotic Cell Welder, you can expect to operate and adjust the Robotic Weld Cell. Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated parts and components. Perform mig/tig operations to fabricate assemblies using jigs and fixtures by performing the duties mentioned below.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6 am to 4 pm, and Friday for overtime.
- Hourly Wage: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
- Must be 18 years or older
- Minimum of 2 years related experience.
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and lead personnel to complete production requirements to service the customer.
- Strong teamwork orientation; willing to train or assist other, less experienced operators.
- Punctual and dependable, placing a high priority on producing throughout scheduled hours and excellent attendance
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to feel or handle; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to twist, stoop, walk, and carry within the following parameters.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment, including but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, protective shoes/boots. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
- Employees must demonstrate physical ability to work in a standing position, between 8-12 hours per day.
- Run the Robotic Weld cell along with making adjustments to welds as needed using the teach pendant
- Select equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
- Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
- Bolt, clamp, using jigs and fixtures to secure parts in position for welding.
- Set up equipment and weld parts, using Mig/Tig-welding equipment.
- Set, regulate, and control power source and wire feed, as well as maintain equipment.
- Check and/or sort parts before and/or after welding and report any irregularities.
- Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
