Stamping Press Operator - 1st Shift

Our client is seeking a Press Operator - 1st Shift to join their dedicated team. As a Press Operator - 1st Shift, you will be an essential part of the Press Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Press Operator - 1st Shift

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Pay Range: $17

Shift: 5:00AM - 3:10PM, Monday through Thursday

What's the Job?

• Operate a stamping press with precision, ensuring proper setup from last-piece to first-piece approval
• Assist in setting up dies and related equipment following standardized instructions
• Load materials onto coil carts and feed into processing equipment efficiently
• Inspect products at defined intervals to meet quality standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following 5S standards

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED required
• Three to five years of related experience or equivalent training
• Ability to read and write safety rules, work instructions, and quality records
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and work in a loud environment with moving mechanical parts
