Wage Range: $24.00 – $32.00 per hour + Paid for 40 hours (36-hour shift) + Shift Differential

Friday – Sunday | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Job Summary

Gaishin Manufacturing – Grand Rapids is seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented CNC Machinist to join our C‑Shift team. The CNC Machinist will operate and monitor Swiss‑style and Mill/Turn CNC lathes, ensuring the production of high‑quality precision parts in line with company and customer standards.

This weekend shift offers a unique opportunity: work just 36 hours over 3 days and get paid for a full 40‑hour week— a great option for work‑life balance while building a long‑term career in precision manufacturing.

Our Grand Rapids Facility Features:
  • (1) Nakamura‑Tome JX200
Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC Swiss‑style and Mill/Turn lathes to produce precision parts.
  • Perform in‑process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and GD&T requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Monitor equipment for proper operation and elevate issues to set‑up technicians or supervisors as needed.
  • Follow all quality standards, production procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide clear shift handoffs to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of CNC operation experience (Swiss‑style experience preferred).
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, work instructions, and quality requirements.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Understanding of basic production processes and quality checks.
  • Strong attention to detail and dependable work ethic.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks during a full shift.
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience operating Swiss‑style lathes or multi‑axis machines.
  • Background in aerospace or medical manufacturing.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
