Material Handler (Night Shift)

5:45 PM – 6:00 AM rotating 2‑2‑3

Grand Rapids, MI

Material Handlers are responsible for moving goods throughout the facility, assisting in maintaining the warehouse properly, and keeping materials organized.

• Safely drive a forklift to stage material, load trucks, unload trucks, and transfer material within the plant and between departments as needed.
• Help keep the warehouse clean and organized daily to ensure products can be located easily and efficiently.
• Perform daily inventory as needed to provide information for any necessary adjustments and communicate the information to the appropriate people.
• Coordinate scrap material storage as needed.
• Oversee changes to the department storage floor plan.
• Coordinate storage locations.
• May be required to perform material move transactions in Business One as needed.
• Keep work areas clean following 5S guidelines.
• Other miscellaneous responsibilities as deemed necessary.
• Ability to work overtime as business demands – overtime is not guaranteed and should not be considered part of your guaranteed full‑time hours.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Sit‑down forklift experience preferred.
• Able to work a 12‑hour shift.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

• Full time.
• Overtime expected per business demand.

• Sitting (Constantly – up to 12 hours).
• Standing (Constantly – up to 12 hours).
• Walking up/downstairs (several times daily).
• Walking (Constantly up to 12 hours).
• Lifting/carrying regularly up to 12 hours – a minimum of 75 lbs.
