We are seeking dependable and hardworking Welder to join our team! The Welder custom fabricates industrial HVAC equipment. Using drawings, the Welder manually MIG welds structural components (tube and angle) to form a frame of each custom unit and 10 – 18 gauge sheet steel to complete the skin. Fabrication is the key element of this position, as the Welder builds a unit from the ground up using subcomponents from the previous step in the process given only the final drawing design from Engineering.

The Welder figures out the order of fabrication for the pieces presented to him or her. A typical unit can be 5-10 feet tall and the same width and length. It takes anywhere from 1 to 3 days to fabricate a unit.

• Read mechanical engineering prints.
• MIG weld steel components and caulk completed units.
• Use a variety of hand tools.
• Operate overhead cranes and Hi-Lo equipment.
• Interface and communicate with other departments to accomplish tasks.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Working ability to apply all applicable safety requirements.
• Work performed standing on ladders.
• Must be available for overtime.
