Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Manufacturing Engineer
Overview
A Tool Builder will apply mechanical, electrical, pneumatic theory, and related knowledge to build, test, and debug robotic and custom automation equipment according to engineering data. This position involves managing multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizing based on the situation role may require performing multiple tasks depending on daily needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assembly of custom tooling, automation, and robotic systems.
- Interpret and use 3D models and 2D drawings provided by engineering to build mechanical assemblies.
- Read and understand electrical and pneumatic system drawings.
- Lead projects in coordination with the greater department and provide guidance to the team to ensure proper adherence to standards.
- Work with high attention to detail and provide consistent, quality-driven results.
- Provide support both internally to Invio and onsite at customers as needed, including internal customer buyoff events, offsite customer installs, or service.
- Travel within the continental US/North America approximately 10% of the time.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well under pressure, remain professional and flexible to changing schedules and demands.
- Promote and maintain 6S standards, including safety.
- Support, communicate, reinforce the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
- Communicate effectively with other functional departments such as Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, and Sales.
- Other duties as assigned.
Demonstrable knowledge and skills for machine assembly of complex tooling, automation, and robotic systems. - Light physical activity will be required continuously while performing the duties of this job.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and communicate how and why specific conclusions were reached.
- Ability to use hand/power tools and possess basic understanding of machining tools.
- Working knowledge of personal computer, keyboard, and various software programs.
- Working knowledge of robotics/automated systems.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Associates degree from an accredited community college or vocational school in a technical field is preferred. Relevant work experience and/or training will be considered in lieu of post-secondary education. Five years or more of related work experience is preferred.
