Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate robotic welding cells using proprietary and off‑the‑shelf robot controllers.
- Interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and process specifications to configure weld parameters.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues on robots and associated PLC systems.
- Monitor weld quality in real time, adjust programs as needed, and document results for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize cycle times, reduce scrap, and implement new welding technologies.
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience programming and operating industrial welding robots (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA).
- Proficiency with PLC programming and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, and inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, weld symbols, and process documentation.
- Commitment to safety standards and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
