Shift Details

This is a 2nd shift position, 3pm–11pm. Weekend availability is required.

Job Summary

The Mold Repair Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of injection molds and tooling equipment to ensure optimal performance and production efficiency. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing precision repairs, and conducting routine maintenance to extend mold life and minimize downtime.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform basic tooling preventative maintenance to ensure molds are production ready.
  • Conduct mold repairs, identifying root causes of issues and implementing preventive measures.
  • Execute minor mold repairs both in and out of injection molding presses.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hot runner systems, including heaters and valve gates.
  • Repair and maintain mold hydraulic systems.
  • Operate dry ice blasting equipment for mold cleaning.
  • Utilize mold flush systems effectively for internal mold maintenance.
  • Provide technical input and recommendations during the design and development of new molds.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Perform TIG welding as required for mold repair and fabrication tasks.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications
  • Technical certificate or 1 year experience in injection molding.
  • 2 years experience Mold Repair.
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to follow safety regulations, laws, and policies.
  • Ability to work with a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
