The Configurations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating with surrounding departments (programs and purchasing) for proper BOM to JOB file structures and required flow down information related to the BOM(s) as well as the entering of BOM’s, maintaining product technical data packages (TDPs), and internal documents as they pertain to operations, including, engineering Production Work Instructions and activities related to the changing of the BOM (Bill of Material).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Works with surrounding departments (programs and purchasing) for Configurations Control set up(s) and flow down(s) requirements
- Generate qualified BOMs from the frontend Configurations Engineering team or customer supplied parts list and print packages
- Attends meetings (impact assessments and product launch) as Configurations dept representative
- Initiates, monitors, and implements BOM change notifications
- Maintain drawings and BOM packages
- Maintains organized filing system for all print packages. Stores and archives all electronic documents on network server
- Implements, maintains, and archives all change notices for internal and external requests including ECN (Engineering Change Notice), ECP (Engineering Change Proposal) /ECO (Engineering Change Orders), NOR (Notice of Revision) and other requested changes
- Any other task assigned by supervisor
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree in mechanical design, manufacturing technology, preferred
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering documents and drawings, preferred
- Ability to utilize rule-based logic to convert parts lists/prints to BOMs
- Strong mathematical skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and data
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office
- Strong organizational and planning skills
