2nd Shift Material Handler​/Machine Operator

Alro Steel Corporation Careers is seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler/Machine Operator for its wholesale metals distribution operation. In this hands-on role, you will use forklifts, overhead cranes, and processing equipment to move, load, and cut metal products to precise specifications. Responsibilities include reading work orders, measuring and verifying material, operating saws or shears, staging and packaging orders, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

You'll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented warehouse environment with strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and on-time customer deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment
• Load, unload, and move metal products within warehouse and production areas
• Set up and operate cutting, shearing, or saw machines per work orders
• Read and follow job tickets, measurements, and material specifications
• Inspect materials for quality, count accuracy, and damage
• Package, band, and label orders for shipment or storage
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety, PPE, and equipment operation procedures
