Job Description

We are urgently hiring for a Brake Press Lead for our client located in the Byron Center area for 1st shift!

Purpose:

Team Lead is responsible for leading, motivating, and coordinating their team's efforts to achieve department-wide production goals efficiently, safely, and with exceptional quality.

• Organize and prioritize tasks to meet daily production goals.
• Assign tasks to team members based on their strengths and capabilities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow.
• Seek ways to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and model exceptional work ethic.
• Resolve issues that arise during the shift.
• Provide training and mentoring to team members.
• Oversee flow of materials and finished goods in and out of department.
• Ensure team follows safety protocols and maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Model company core values daily.

• Deep understanding of department and its processes including technical aspects of the work.
• Acute attention to detail ensuring quality of work.
• Able to identify and address issues proactively.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information, give direction and feedback, and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team toward success.
• Able to collaborate effectively with others, build strong relationships, and manage disagreements in order to find mutually beneficial solutions.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated mastery of department processes and leadership capabilities.

• Ability to read/write/speak in English
• Ability to stand throughout entire shift with frequent bending and twisting.
• Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally.
• Hi-lo certification may be needed to perform job duties and requires a valid driver's license.
• May be required to perform other jobs outside of your department as needed.
