Material Handler – 2nd Shift

Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m.

Potential Overtime: Opportunities for extended shifts (3:00 p.m.–3:00 a.m.) and partial Fridays

Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Material Handler In this role, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing materials within the plant to ensure smooth operation of production processes. This position provides crucial support to machine operators, maintains material flow, removes scrap, prepares products for shipment, and promotes a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Review work orders and follow instructions to identify and move materials, products, or containers

• Maintain continuous flow of materials to and from machines

• Clean work areas, machines, and equipment; assemble stackers and containment equipment for finished products

• Operate an industrial Hi-Lo (forklift) to load trucks, transport materials, and support production needs

• Remove and rack scrap materials, place them in designated containers

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe per 5S standards

• Adhere to all work instructions, operating procedures, and safety protocols

• Maintain knowledge of quality objectives and follow quality system policies

• Package and label products according to customer specifications

• Accurately record production information in AX system

• Ensure safety of teammates and prevent product damage

• Remove products from presses without causing damage

• Apply correct labeling with tare weights and piece counts

• High school diploma or GED preferred; or 1–3 months related experience/training; or equivalent combination

• Industrial Hi-Lo (forklift) operation experience is strongly required

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Frequently stand, walk, use hands, reach, and speak

• Occasionally stoop, crouch, or crawl

• Regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs.; frequently up to 25 lbs.; occasionally up to 40 lbs.

• Must have adequate vision for tasks (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception)

• Noise levels are typically high in the manufacturing area

• PPE required at all times; must comply with company safety standards
