Scheduler – Manufacturing

We need a Scheduler who lives for the challenge of a high-mix manufacturing, not large production runs — where priorities may shift, every job is a little different, and staying three steps ahead is the whole game. You’ll own the schedule board, drive capacity planning and level loading, and keep critical jobs moving through the system to hit customer deadlines.

• Update and maintain the schedule board by machine and work center.
• Adjust job schedules on the fly based on established and identified priorities.
• Expedite critical jobs through the system to meet customer delivery dates.
• Practice level loading to squeeze optimum utilization out of every machine.
• Communicate capacity constraints with program managers and production leads.
• Post urgent, preventative, and predictive machine maintenance plans.

Other duties may be assigned.

• You’ve scheduled in a tool & die shop, job shop, or another high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment — 1-2 years preferred — and you’re comfortable when the plan changes mid-process.
• You hold a High School Diploma and know your way around Microsoft Office.
• You’re wired for organization and detail, and you get real satisfaction from a clean, well-run schedule board.
• You communicate proactively — internal customers always know where their timelines stand.
• You manage your own time like a pro and know how to prioritize when everything feels urgent.
• You dig into problems until you find the root cause, not just a quick patch.

While performing the duties of this job, you’ll regularly be required to sit and use your hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
