GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Executive Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:The primary responsibilities of the Communications & Development Specialist will consist of, but are not limited to, the following duties:
- Manage program budgets and prepare and submit required program reports
- Oversee the collection, management, and implementation of program data
- Support the successful completion of performance metrics as set forth in program contracts
- Assist with grant writing and reporting as requested
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and supporting paper files
- Review regular and routine reports to assist with managing production
- Assist with the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of programs
- Provide routine supervision of program data and reporting processes
- Manage and report out on program data for internal and external stakeholders
- Provide leadership for staff and partners assisting with direct services, with special attention to home visiting program partners
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities related to programming, including program and budget efficiency and effectiveness
- Facilitate the development and revision of program materials to promote continuous quality improvement and protect program integrity
- Raise awareness of and advocate for healthier housing for children by sharing stories from the field
- Promote healthier housing for children through professional networking and collaboration
- Support opportunities to advocate for and advance equity in social and environmental justice spaces
- Encourage parent engagement in advocacy efforts
- Serve as a spokesperson for the organization at public and/or media events as requested
- Participate in resource development activities as requested
- Participate in all required trainings and achieve learning objectives in a timely manner
- Understand and respect boundaries of legal knowledge when consulting with families on their rights and responsibilities
- Comfort speaking in front of groups to advance the organization’s mission
- Up-to‑date content knowledge of children’s environmental health
- Advanced understanding of how housing impacts children’s health, particularly lead exposure
- Working knowledge of housing programs and policies at the local, state, and regional level
- Advanced proficiency in understanding housing systems and opportunities for systems improvement
- Cross‑cultural competency with the ability to engage respectfully and effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with organizations, contractors, and partners
- Ability to professionally deliver training to other professionals
- Support the development and continuous improvement of home visitor training programs
The work schedule is generally between 8:30am–5:30pm Monday–Thursday and 8:30am–12:30pm Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Minimum of Associate of Arts or Science degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional work environment requiring project leadership and team collaboration
- Demonstrated success in program management
- Ability to work remotely and/or with minimal supervision while remaining accountable to leadership and the team
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with partner organizations and contractors
- Ability to develop and professionally deliver training to other professionals
- Ability to collect, manage, and interpret program data
- Ability to meet program objectives and deadlines
- Ability to manage complex, multifaceted projects
