The VISTA project will strengthen and expand sustainable community partnerships and outreach systems that increase the organization’s capacity to connect underserved individuals and families with education, workforce, and support services, thereby improving long‑term community access, engagement, and eliminating poverty. Skills for this project include capacity building, communication, time‑management, organization, teamwork, and ability to work independently.
- Strengthen institutional capacity to address students’ non‑academic barriers by developing and refining a coordinated partnership and outreach framework that aligns campus and community resources.
- Improve access to community partnerships & outreach through resource mapping and other information technologies to support capacity building.
- Improving community outreach strategies to recruit first‑generation, low‑income populations in the Delta College service area.
