Responsibilities- Reports directly to the nurse manager, and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.
- Provides direct care to residents on a daily basis.
- Assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
- Assists residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignment, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toilet activities, grooming, feeding, and transportation/ transfer.
- Maintains resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including light housekeeping, changing linen, making beds, tidying bedside tables and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assists with resident laundry, ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notifies supervisor of clothing needs as they occur.
- Prepares residents for meals, assists with serving meals and feeding as needed.
- May be cross trained in Assisted Living.
- High School diploma or the equivalent.
- Completion and passing of an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State.
- Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
$16.25 - $19.84 per hour
Pay noteA reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $16.25 - $19.84 per hour. There are numerous factors considered in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and equity considerations.
