Registered Nurse - Cath Lab - 40 hours - Days
This is an on-call position where the response time is 45 minutes.
GENERAL SUMMARY- Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
- Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
- Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
- Acts as a patient advocate while utilizing the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological needs and/or psychosocial needs.
Taking care of patients that need heart catheterizations and also electrophysiology patients throughout the procedure. The RN will be an intraprocedural RN, mixing drips, and giving sedation.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED- BSN preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- 3-5 years of nursing experience.
- Experience in ICU, ER or critical care.
- Cardiac ICU experience preferred or cardiac in general.
- CVICU preferred.
