Position :
Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health
Location:
Grand Rapids, MI
Shifts Available:
  • 12-Hour Shifts : 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • 8-Hour Shifts : 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM & 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Available Shifts/Populations :
  • Youth Populations
    • FT Nights - 32 & 36 hours
    • FT Eve - 32 hours
    • FT Night - 36 hours
  • High Acuity Adult Populations
    • FT Day - 36 hours
    • FT Eve - 32 hours
    • FT Night - 36 hours
  • Older Adult Populations
    • FT Eve - 32 hours
    • FT Night - 32 hours
Key Responsibilities :
  • Assess and Develop Care Plans :
    Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs and develop, monitor, and modify care plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Physicians :
    Coordinate nursing care with physicians for both individual and group patients.
  • Education and Support :
    Teach and provide support to patients, families, and significant others regarding treatment plans and discharge/aftercare.
  • Milieu Management & Safety :
    Ensure a safe and secure environment for both patients and staff.
  • Documentation and Reporting :
    Document patient care accurately, following policies and procedures.
  • Clinical Leadership :
    Lead and delegate tasks to nursing staff and promote ongoing staff development.
  • Support Recovery Focused Environment :
    Promote a recovery-focused environment and person-centered care for all patients.
Required Qualifications :
  • Licensure :
    Must be licensed to practice in Michigan.
  • Education :
    Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Experience :
    Previous clinical experience required. New grads are welcome to apply, though prior psychiatric or ED experience is preferred.
  • Skills :
    Knowledge of psychiatric nursing theory, cultural competence, and the ability to work in diverse settings.
  • Stamina :
    Ability to handle physical, emotional, social, and cultural challenges of patients.
  • Other :
    Valid Michigan Driver's License (may be required) and access to company transportation vehicles.
