Responsibilities

Forest View Hospital
, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108‑bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults. The hospital is licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission, and possesses more than 45 years of experience in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems. The Utilization Review Manager will lead the utilization program for inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring effective treatment planning and compliance with managed‑care requirements.

The Utilization Manager is responsible for directing and overseeing the utilization program for inpatient and outpatient services. This includes implementing case‑management scenarios, consulting with all services to ensure an effective treatment plan for all patients, overseeing the response to requests for services, and interfacing with managed‑care organizations, external reviewers, and other payors.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience:
  
  A minimum of three years’ experience in Utilization Management required.
• License:
  State of Michigan licensure as LLP, LPC, LLPC LMSW, LLMSW, or Registered Nurse RN.
