Employment Type
Full time
Shift12 Hour Day Shift (Day Shift 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
DescriptionTrinity Health's surgical suite/OR currently consists of 16 beds and was just recently renovated. This newly renovated area also includes a hybrid operating room equipped with advanced medical imaging devices such as fixed C-Arms, CT scanners, or MRI scanners. These imaging devices enable minimally‑invasive surgery, which is less traumatic for the patient. Minimally invasive means that the surgeon does not need to cut the patient open completely to access the body part;
instead, catheters or endoscopes are inserted through small holes. While imaging has long been a part of the OR in the form of mobile C-Arms, ultrasound, and endoscopy, these new minimally‑invasive procedures require imaging techniques that can visualize smaller body parts such as very thin vessels in the heart muscle and can be facilitated through intra‑operative 3D imaging.
